SHOOTING: Jen McIntosh takes silver for Scotland

Jen McIntosh won a landmark silver medal for Scotland in the women’s rifle three positions.

The 23-year-old from Edinburgh, who on Monday won bronze in the 50m rifle discipline, secured Scotland’s 34th medal of their home Games, their biggest haul in Commonwealth history.

McIntosh went into the final round of standing shots in fourth place but peppered the bullseye and actually climbed to the top of the leaderboard with three shots remaining.

But Jasmine Ser of Singapore regained the lead to snatch gold leaving McIntosh with silver.
