A host of leading British championship teams will blow off the winter cobwebs at the annual pre-season Pro-Test at Cartagena next month. Milwaukee Yamaha riders Ian Hutchinson, Josh Brookes and Tommy Bridewell are among the entries for the four-day shakedown at the Spanish circuit from March 6-9 along with fellow British Superbike high-fliers Tyco Suzuki.
New signing John Hopkins and team-mate Josh Waters plus the Moneymore team’s Supersport representative Taylor Mackenzie are listed among the entries as well as international road racing star William Dunlop.
However, Lincolnshire’s Guy Martin is absent from the provisional list of starters at the test, which is organised by former Norton and Honda Britain team boss Barry Symmons.
Keith Farmer will test the PR Kawasaki for the first time in Spain, while Millsport Ducati’s Jakub Smrz is also expected to put the Panigale 1199 through its paces ahead of the opening BSB round at Brands Hatch in April.
British Supersport champions Mar-Train Racing are entered with rising roads prospect Dean Harrison and Carrick’s Alastair Seeley.
