Ulster Grand Prix could have change of date

Michael Dunlop

Michael Dunlop

NEXT year’s Ulster Grand Prix could take place a week later than in recent years.

The change of date could happen because of a clash with a British Superbike round at Oulton Park.

The main race day was set to be on Saturday August 17, with the Dundrod 150 races being staged on Thursday August 15.

The date is subject to ratifictaion by the Motorycle Union of Ireland.

The proposed August 17 date however would clash with the start of practicing for the Manx Grand Prix and the provisional date for a round of the World Endurance championship at Oschersleben.

Last year Guy Martin and Michael Dunlop won the Superbike races at the event.
