Organised by the 500 Motor Racing Club of Ireland, the regular Northern Ireland Formula Ford 1600 Championship will incorporate the SuperSeries which is not a championship, but simply a series of races staged at various circuits throughout the UK.

A Driver of the Day is selected at each round and the various winners will go into a hat and one name will be picked and added to the list of those drivers going to the Road to Indy Shootout. Could it be that a driver from Kirkistown could be racing in the USA?

The support programme has something for everyone, including the popular one make Ford Zetec Championship, while Roadsports will be joined by a number of Strykers. Ginetta Juniors, the introduction series for teenagers to motor racing, makes a welcome return and the Legends return to the County Down venue.

Saloons and the ultra fast karts will be in action, the latter featuring the 125 and 250 classes.
