NORTHERN Ireland manager Michael O’Neill has visited three schools and attended an event at Derry City Council during a whistle stop tour of the west of the Province.

His first stop was Cookstown Primary School where he officially opened a new multi-use games facility.

The international boss then travelled to McClintock Primary School, just outside Omagh to officially open a new soft play area.

Next up was a visit to Holy Cross College in Strabane for a Q&A session with pupils from the school’s teams who won the Senior Cup and Youth Cup at last season’s Northern Ireland Schools’ Cup Finals Day.

The tour concluded with a Football For All Workshop at the offices of Derry City Council involving local young people.

“I had a very enjoyable day visiting the three schools and attending the Football For All workshop, meeting some fantastic and inspiring people,” said Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill.
