Ireland drawing blanks

ANDREW White will have to wait at least another day before winning his 100th Ireland cap.

Sunday's Friends Provident Trophy match with Warwickshire at Edgbaston was abandoned without a single ball being bowled after a day of persistent rain in the Birmingham area.

White, poised on 99 caps, will be hoping the rain relents today as Ireland travel to nearby Trent Bridge to take on Nottinghamshire.

However, Monday's forecast for the Midlands area is again bleak.

Ireland are without captain William Porterfield for the match with Kyle McCallan standing in.
