CARL Frampton is looking to show what he can do at the York Hall on Saturday night.

The Tigers Bay Super-bantamweight defends his Commonwealth title against Kris Hughes at the London venue, with the fight being screened live on Sky Sports.

‘The Jackal’ also headlines the bill against the tall Scottish southpaw and he wants to deliver a good performance in front a large audience.

“Yes, it is live on Sky, but I will put that to the back of my mind.

“I was live on Sky when I fought and beat Robbie Turley and I picked-up loads from that fight.

“I got a wee bit excited and was trying to take Turley’s head off, but I will be cool, calm and collected this time and get the job done.

“I want to be explosive and impressive against Hughes - but the most important thing is to win the fight - as the result is the thing people remember,” he added.

And Frampton knows that Hughes is coming to London to claim the Commonwealth title.

“He has had plenty of time to prepare properly and he will be coming to win - but I am determined to win the fight and take the belt back home to Belfast,” said Frampton.

Meanwhile a war of words has broken out between Belfast Flyweights Jamie Conlan and Luke Wilton.

A fight for the Irish title could be in the reckoning and Wilton says he has no worries in facing the unbeaten Conlan.

“I heard Jamie called me out so and I just want to say I accept his challenge.

“He disrespected me by saying he is a level above me. I challenge him to prove that.

“I don’t see how Jamie is on verge of British title shot when he hasn’t anybody good on his record.

“I would be happy to fight him to clear up who is the best between us once and for all. I’m very confident of winning.

“It would be a great fight between the two of us.

“And I am sure it would be on the fans would love to see - we could fight for the Irish title,” Wilton added.
