Director of rugby Les Kiss was been able to field a consistent side in the last few games of the regular league season in the Guinness PRO12 and admitted yesterday it had helped without a doubt being able to have that consistency.

There had been the potential of prop, Wiehahn Herbst returning from injury, but given his lack of match fitness it is unlikely he would be involved, Kiss putting the faith in the side that has got through to another play-off.

Kiss said: “The group have been exceptional and I am talking about the whole group, 30-plus players who are helping us prepare.

“Some guys will not get a chance this week and have not for the last four or five but keep putting the hand up for us.

“However, the last two games when we brought the branch on they did exceptionally well at key moments and they seemed to slot in seamlessly which is helpful. We have looked at selection had a good think about what is going to get the job done.

“One of the key things about getting a good job done is not tinkering too much,” he added.
