Gilroy was expected to shake off an ankle knock from that game to start again at fullback.
Up front, Nick Williams was expected to make the start at No 8 with Chris Henry on the openside of the backrow and Robbie Diack starting at blindside - Roger Wilson moving to the bench.
Skipper Johann Muller was expected to return and join Dan Tuohy in the second row.
Declan Fitzpatrick looks set for a return to the front row, but Ulster have a bit of a sweat on cover for tighthead with John Afoa still struggling with injury and Ricky Lutton and Kyle McCall out injured.
