Ballynahich III scored seven tries to lift the Crawford cup in a comprehensive victory over Queen’s University III at Ravenhill Stadium on Tuesday.

The Ballymacarn Park side took the lead on eight minutes with a try from flanker Josh Donaldson following a driving maul and out half Robert Irvine converted.

Queen’s got their own score of the first half from a penalty by Connor Wright but from Irvine and centre Niall McBrair both converted by the out half gave Hinch a 21-3 lead at the interval.

Winger Chris Orr scored a brace of tries after the restart and replacement hooker Andrew Harper also went over for the Hinch.

Queen’s got a late consolation try from centre Finn Stoneman which Chris Bartolo converted but Hinch had the last word when they were awarded a penalty try which Irvine converted to complete the scoring.
