Ulster captain, Johann Muller, Irish international backrow, Chris Henry, World Cup winning tighthead prop, John Afoa and No 8 Nick Williams are all set to face Munster in a crucial top end of the RaboDirect PRO12 table clash at a sold-out Ravenhill on Friday night.
It is also expected that Irish forward, Iain Henderson will also return to the side and will come off the bench.
Ulster go into a crucial period of three massive games which could well define their season across two competitions.
The traditional Irish derbies over the festive period have enabled Ulster to manage their squad allowing players returning to fitness to get some necessary game time ahead of two make or break Heineken Cup games in the middle of the month.
Ulster disappointed massively last week in a 19-6 loss to Leinster in Dublin, the performance one of their worst this season.
Head coach, Mark Anscombe said a number of the issues were addressed at the review session.
“The players knew they had not performed well so they did not need to be shown a million things in a video session.
“But it was important to look at a number of things that you have to do better.
“If you dismiss things then it will keep coming back.”
He added: “The performance and the defeat happened. It was certainly not ideal. We rested a few guys but in saying that we had a good team out,
“The thing is we did not front up on the day, but apart from one try a couple of dodgy penalty calls and the fact we were one pass away from a try it could all have been different.
“As bad as it was we not that far off it either, but we are not papering over the fact we did not front up.
“We need to find that energy and excitement and purpose to ourselves this week that was missing last week.
“If we do not have it this week then it will happen again against the league leaders Munster and we will lose more ground.”
