NEWLY capped Irish outhalf, Paddy Jackson, will start for Ulster against Benetton Treviso at Ravenhill on Friday night - and will have responsiblity for kicking.

Ulster boss Mark Anscombe confirmed on Tuesday that the under fire Jackson will take the kicking role from Ruan Pienaar.

And Anscombe also revealed that the decision was Jackson’s.

“We offered it and he accepted,” said the coach.

Ireland squad members Iain Henderson and Declan Fitzpatrick are also named in the provisional panel.

Ulster are still missing 19 players due to National call-ups or injury - and that list was added to on Tuesday by the news that Paddy Wallace is out for the remainder of the season due to rupturing the anterior ligament in his left knee.

Stuart Olding is expected to start at centre again, while Ruan Pienaar is again set to start at scrumhalf.
