Eminem set to play Slane Castle

Legendary rapper Eminem will give fans a real treat in the new year when he plays Slane Castle.

He will follow in the footsteps of musical maestros including Madonna, U2, Bruce Springsteen and the Rolling Stones.

Throughout his career, Eminem’s live shows have been phenomenal. Playing with a mammoth live band, the gig will be simply unmissable, and build on his last two Irish headliners at Oxegen and Tennant’s Vital.

Slane 2013 is bound to be heavy on hits making this a day to remember in the beautiful surrounds of Slane castle, Co Meath.

Speaking of the announcement Lord Henry Mountcharles, who presides over the estate, said: “In 2005 I said Eminem was a stunning artist. He is even more so today. I am thrilled he is going to play Slane”

Since the release of 1999’s ‘Slim Shady’ LP, Eminem has established himself as a hip-hop force and he is an icon of modern culture. Having sold over 100 million albums worldwide, he is expected to be one of the most popular headliners in Slane’s history.

Tickets, priced €79.50, go on sale at 9am on Wednesday December 19 from Ticketmaster.

Tickets are limited to 8 per person.

Under 16s must be accompanied by parent/guardian 25 or over.
