In Pictures: One Direction rocks Belfast

Concert promoters have warned local fans of One Direction of the items they are not allowed to bring to the band’s sold-out gigs this week.

The chart-topping boyband will perform four sold-out dates at the Odyssey Arena.

Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday will see thousands of 1D fans descend upon the Belfast venue to see the pop phenomenon perform some of their biggest hits.

And ahead of the gigs Aiken Promotions has warned fans not to bring certain items to the concert, in the interests of public safety.

“Due to security restrictions the following items will not be permitted at the One Direction Shows: Audio/Video Recorders, Professional Cameras, Glass Items, Items or actions that may challenge public safety, including Glosticks, Umbrellas and Plastic Bottles.”

The spokesperson added that under 14s must be accompanied to the gig by someone aged over 18.

While the concert is expected to draw huge crowds the promotions agency also warned no queueing will be allowed before 5pm.

Earlier this week fans were warned to avoid ticket touts who may sell over-priced or fake tickets.
