AFTER a stand-out brilliant performance at the Super Bowl’s halftime this week, the multi-talented and bootylicious Beyonce has now released details of her forthcoming tour, her first since 2009.
The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour will kick off on April 15, arriving at The O2 in Dublin for two nights on May 11 and May 12. Tickets for the former Destiny Child star’s newest solo extravaganza will go on sale via Ticketmaster outlets nationwide on February 11 at 9am.
With stops in 20 European cities, including Dublin, Berlin, Paris and a four-night stint in London, this is Beyoncé’s first major tour since becoming a mother to daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour promises to be the entertainer’s most ambitious undertaking to date and is expected to be bigger than any of her previous shows.
The tour’s north American leg begins on June 28 in Los Angeles before heading to New York, Atlanta, Houston, Toronto and Boston and Rock in Rio, Brazil.
Following her historic performance at the Pepsi Super Bowl XLVII halftime show in New Orleans, Louisiana, after which the stadium suffered a power outage (she was that fabulous she almost blew all the lights out - permanently, Beyoncé now returns to a full-time touring schedule.
The I AM…WORLD TOUR was ranked #1 on Billboard’s Hot Tour chart. The show was enjoyed by more than 1.1 million fans at more than 100 shows in 32 countries.
A recording artist and actress, Beyonce has released four #1 solo albums and has sold over 75 million albums worldwide. Her work has earned her 16 Grammy Awards.
Critics have consistently praised her energetic stage shows, likening her to the best entertainers of the past with her own brand of sass and class.
On February 16, HBO will premiere Life Is But A Dream, an intimate feature-length documentary film directed and produced by Beyoncé for Parkwood Entertainment. The film provides unprecedented access into the on and off-stage world of the entertainer.
