A guitar signed by Snow Patrol is sure to be a big international draw at an auction in Belfast later this month.
It’s one of the more exotic items at the Linen Hall Library’s special fundraiser and has a reserve of £1,500.
The library’s Rachel Weatherall said it was “a real coup” for them and they were delighted the band was supporting the Linen Hall.
Auctioneer Daniel Clarke from Belfast’s John Ross and Co is to preside over the evening’s events, with bidding sure to be brisk on a copy of Prince Charles’ children’s book The Old Man of Lochnagar signed by the Prince of Wales; a gold Victorian sovereign; works by Seamus Heaney and Michael Longley; a Give My Head Peace TV script and original paintings, photographs, vintage comic books, poetry collections, fine wine, a selection of woodcuts as well as the signed guitar.
Items for the auction on October 16 can be seen at www.linenhall.com
