Those lucky enough to be in attendance at the launch of this year’s Balmoral Show got a taste of what may have been the Ultimate Ulster Fry.
Celebrity chef Paula McIntrye cooked sausages from Finnebrogue, bacon from Cloughbane Farm, mushrooms from Annaghmore Mushroom, eggs from Ready Egg Products and homemade soda bread and potato bread along with Punjana tea, orange juice from Dale Farm, sauces from Harrison’s of Greyabbey and Dromona butter.
Food and drink sector representatives, media and invited guests sampled some of the very best produce at James Street South restaurant from a range of local food and drink sector companies - large and small - who are Ulster Bank clients.
The breakfast on Thursday was arranged by the organisers of the Balmoral Show, the RUAS, and the show’s principal sponsor, Ulster Bank, to kick off the prestigious event’s 2014 calendar.
The Balmoral Show runs between May 14 and 16 this year.
