Army deal with bomb alert at rural home
The Army have examined a suspect device at a house near Dromore, Co Down, and declared it to be an 'elaborate hoax'.
The alert unfolded on the Ballymacormick Road, to the north-east of the town, at around 9am.
The road was closed as a result. It is understood that no evacuations of nearby properties were needed.
The alert was declared over at about 1pm, and the road has now been reopened.
