Arrest made in connection with lamb theft
Police investigating the theft of 35 ewe lambs in Rathfriland at the start of October carried out searches in the Gilford area on Monday 24th October.
Following a search in the Pine View Court area, a 21 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft, handling stolen goods, possession of a class B drug and extracting electricity. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
A quantity of class B drugs were seized during a search in the Scarva Road area of Gilford. Animal checks were also carried out.
