Listed as one of the world’s Top 20 new books on sales for 2021 by BookAuthority, The B2B Selling Guidebook is a practical, concise, easy to read guide to Business to Business selling and has already received positive reviews from the Institute of Sales Management, The Chartered Institute of Marketing and the book review site ‘Discovery’.

As featured on CNN, Forbes and Inc, BookAuthority identifies and rates the best books in the world, based on recommendations by thought leaders and experts.

Jim has worked in the technology industry for 44 years, in over 25 countries worldwide. He has been a professional sales person, sales manager, marketing manager and executive leader in multiple multinationals.

Delighted about his accolade the Magherafelt author said: “I didn’t even know that BookAuthority.org were considering my book! Out of the many hundreds of sales books published across the world in the last year, I am delighted to have been one of the small number to receive this honour. The announcement and recognition make all of the work and effort worthwhile.”

Since moving from Scotland 11 years ago, he has focussed on helping local start-ups and technology companies to improve their business performance and results.

He explained: “Since moving here I have been so impressed with the start-ups and the bodies that support them here. I have worked with many and I have found the business people here to be smart, capable and, as important, bringing forward great ideas! They are truly world-class. What’s the flip side? I have two concerns. First, the available ‘pool’ of skilled sales people in Northern Ireland is much too shallow. There is a shortage of those with the skills to effectively sell outstanding NI technology and solutions to the wider world. We all need to work to improve our skills and capabilities in this area. Second, the combination of Covid-19 and Brexit will absolutely make things harder for everyone. But, the need to deliver value and help individuals, organisations and government bodies survive and prosper also creates opportunity for those with the right ideas, products and mindset. With those pressures, selling products and solutions becomes harder. It also means though, that any solution, idea or product that can help businesses and government bodies cope and survive becomes even more important and necessary. So, we are in a difficult time, but also a time of opportunity.”

The book is available in many online retail outlets in paperback including Amazon, audiobook and ebook
