Once branded an embarrassing eyesore on one of the main approaches to the city, the park has been transformed by Belfast City Council into an asset with which it aims to attract investors and create jobs.

It is hoped that the Hub will create an estimated 330 jobs and generate in the region of £88 million in investment

“Not only does Giant’s Park offer businesses excellent connectivity through our airports and motorways, there’s the obvious additional benefit of being able to recruit from Belfast’s strong skills and talent base,” said Mr Kingston.

Moira Loughran, Invest NI’s Eastern Regional Manager said: “Giant’s Park is a major coup for Belfast and this announcement is an encouraging development in the regeneration of the North Foreshore. The Park will not only benefit local businesses but enhance Northern Ireland’s economic infrastructure and attract inward investment.”

“It has the potential to make Northern Ireland a world leader in investment in green technology.”
