Last call for ABC Council business awards entries

Businesses from across the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area have been urged to take part in the inaugural Business Awards aimed at support the best of local and regional companies.

With the deadline of Monday, 8th May fast approaching, firms are encouraged to submit their entries for one or more of the 16 available award categories.

The business awards are a major first for the council and have been carefully designed to recognise and reward top performers and to reflect on the diverse, enterprising and most successful companies from a strong base of established corporates, start-ups, innovators, strategic thinkers and entrepreneurs.

“These awards are a superb initiative, providing an unrivaled platform from which to celebrate and unite the best of business in the area,” said awards host Jim Fitzpatrick.

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough is home to some of Northern Ireland’s largest companies as well as a huge base of thriving small and medium sized enterprises so it already stands as an example to others with some of the largest companies in Northern Ireland.

“The entry deadline of Monday, May 8 is approaching fast so I urge all businesses to enter now and I am looking forward to the awards ceremony at the Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre on June 22nd.”

Held in association with principal sponsor and global pharmaceutical leader Almac, award categories include the Sir Allen McClay Young Business Person of the Year Award as well as recognition awards for Best New, Family and Agri-Food Businesses, Export Initiative, Digital Innovation, Social Enterprise, Marketing Initiative and Eating Establishment.

In addition to an award for Outstanding Woman in Business, sought-after awards are also available for Best Business Growth, for Excellence in Manufacturing and Customer Service.
