NISA show secretaries gather for meet and greet

The Northern Ireland Shows Association (NISA) organised a get together for it's affiliated Show Secretaries and Organisers in the Kings Hall Complex on Saturday 12th November.

The event offered the opportunity for NISA Show representatives to become acquainted and get the 2017 Show season off to a positive start.

The NISA Chairman Robert Dick and Vice-Chairman Clarence Calderwood led proceedings.

Articles for discussion included updates from the recent Association of Shows and Agricultural Organisations (ASAO) annual conference which was held in Torquay, Devon. Following his attendance at the conference, RUAS trade stand executive David Laidlaw reported points of note to the meeting. This was followed by discussions on Show stewarding, the value of social media, and NISA Championships. Representatives from Antrim, Armagh, Ballymena, Ballymoney, Castlewellan, Clogher Valley, Co. Fermanagh, Killyleagh, Limavady and Omagh Shows, all participated in the event. The next item on the NISA calendar is the Annual General Meeting to be held at the King’s Hall Complex, on Monday evening, 21st November.
