Opportunities for firms to find work '˜at home'

With the recent increase in overseas visitor figures and holiday visitors to Northern Ireland in addition to the many new hotels being built in Belfast, McCue Crafted Fit MD Les McCracken believes that there are opportunities for them as a local fit out company to be working at home as well outside of the province.

“Northern Ireland, especially Belfast, is currently experiencing a bit of a resurgence in terms of the hospitality and property sectors – which is fantastic to see.

“Following recent acquisitions in the property and hospitality sectors in the region, including the City Quays projects and twenty-plus hotels now at various stages of development in the city and the redevelopment of accommodation blocks, office spaces and student accommodation, Belfast is becoming a more exciting place.

“Over the water, our work in the Greater London area has gone from strength to strength, however, it is clear that the sector is picking up in Northern Ireland and we are seeing an increase in fit out tender opportunities here in Belfast.”

McCue’s portfolio of work in London has increased significantly in recent years. Luxury hospitality clients include the Four Seasons Hotel, Lancaster Hotel, The Savoy Hotel, Claridges, The Berkeley, The Shangri-La at The Shard as well as a number of other high profile luxury retailers.

The firm is taking its industry expertise to Northern Ireland’s largest hospitality conference, Hospitality Exchange, to exhibit for the first time. Hospitality Exchange takes place on the 18th and 19th October 2016 at the Ramada Plaza, Belfast and is organised by The Northern Ireland Hotels Federation.
