Rubbish starts to be removed from controversial ‘dump’ - after protest held by distressed residents

Rubbish has started to be removed from a Belfast site less than 24 hours after residents staged protests about the havoc rats and flies were having on their lives.
Contract cleaners are on site at the illegal north Belfast waste dump to start clearing it. The latest pictures shows the waste starting to be removed from the scene.

It comes after residents outside Edenderry Mill on the Crumlin Road told of their distress.

It emerged that the warehouse in the industrial estate resembled a landfill site with huge mountains of rubbish inside.
