Springhill ram sale heads for Omagh venue

The sixth annual Springhill ram sale takes place on Saturday 17th September in Omagh Auction Mart commencing at 12 noon.

Going under the hammer is a medley of pedigree Texel and Charollais shearling rams and ram lambs including three Texel stock rams including Marbelton Vantastic, a son of Oberstown Usian Bolt, whose sons have sold to a top of £1071; Ballydesland Thunder King, who sired Bluehill Yogi sold at the 2016 NI Premier Texel sale in Ballymena for £1680; and Millcomb Powerhouse whose sons have sold to £17,850.

Also on offer is a selection of hybrid Texel x Charollais shearling rams and ram lambs.

The ram lambs presented have been bare clipped in mid-June, have not been housed and none of the rams have been fed cabbage.

Guest consignments this year include entries of ram lambs from Blackstown, Mountain View, and Listymore Texels while Droit crossbreds offer for sale a number of Charollais x Beltex and Texel x Beltex lambs.

Finishing off the catalogue are a selection of stock tups forward from the Listymore flock with a special entry to include the final dispersal of stock rams from the representatives of the late Billy Graham, Coolaghy Road, Ardstraw. Overall this catalogue presents a variety of quality tups available to suit all needs.
