Markethill Mart: Cull ewes selling to a top a price of £141 each

Heavy lambs sold to a top of £110 with all good quality heavy lambs from 410p to 458p per kilo for 24 kilos at £110 each for a Markethill farmer followed by 431p per kilo for 24 kilos at £103.50 each from a Poyntzpass farmer.

Good quality middleweight lambs sold from 420p to 462p per kilo for 23.7 kilos at £109.50 each from a Markethill farmer followed by 456p per kilo for 20.2 kilos at £92 each from a Dungannon producer.

A Ballynahinch farmer received 454p per kilo for 20.7 kilos at £94 each.

Store lambs sold in a very strong demand with light stores to 577p per kilo for 14.9 kilos at £86 each from a Lurgan farmer followed by 542p per kilo for 12 kilos at £65 each from a Mullabawn farmer.

Stronger stores sold to 506p per kilo for 17.8 kilos at £90 each from a Lurgan farmer followed by 494p per kilo for 17 kilos at £84 each from a Mullabawn farmer.

The 160 cull ewes sold to a top of £141 each with all good quality ewes from £85 to £126 each with plainer ewes from £60 to £80 each.
