Coronavirus NI: One death and four new people test positive for COVID-19 in last 24 hours

Northern Ireland has recorded its first additional COVID-19 death in five days.

The daily report published by the Department of Health (DoH) on Thursday also revealed there were only four newly identified positive cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Throughout Northern Ireland there were eight patients occupying intensive care unit beds set aside for COVID-19.

The current death-toll in Northern Ireland now stands at 538 according to DoH statistics.

Unknown: five.

Fermanagh and Omagh: 10.

Derry and Strabane: 21.

Mid-Ulster: 30.

Newry and Mourne: 33.

Causeway, Coast and Glens: 38.

Ards and North Down: 40.

Mid and East Antrim: 41.

Lisburn and Castlereagh: 46.

Antrim and Newtownabbey: 55.

Armagh City and Banbridge: 59.

Belfast City: 160.
