Parents asked to be aware that ‘Blue Whale Challenge’ being played in NI - ‘a disturbing challenge aimed at teenagers to get them to self harm’

This is a so-called online game that encourages teenagers to self-harm.

The ‘game’ has 10 stages, according to reports - each stage asking participants to complete increasingly macabre tasks.

In a post on PSNI Facebook they reveal that they ‘Just had a private message from a concerned parent regarding the ‘Blue Whale Challenge’.

The post says: “Folks...

“Just had a private message from a concerned parent regarding the ‘Blue Whale Challenge’.

“If you don’t know what it is, its a disturbing challenge aimed at teenagers to get them to self harm. Please keep an eye on your children’s social feeds”.
