I love to travel which is why I’m in the perfect job as a Flight Service Manager with Virgin Airlines. I do quite a few trips in my free time all over the world. I’m also am a keen cook, I do a lot of it when I’m at home. I was Mr Northern Ireland in 2007 and travelled to the Mr World contest on the tropical island resort of Sanya, China and I have been on the books of ACA Models since I was 14-years old. .

Describe your personal style:?

I would say that I’m both smart and casual with good tailoring. I prefer to wear things that are timeless now. I love photography and it’s nice to look back at photos and not have to worry that you’ll be embarrassed by what you were wearing

Where do you get your style inspiration from?

I get my style inspiration from what is happening around me when I travel. I’m in New York and Los Angeles every month and see people carrying off different things that I like. Then I’ll maybe edit it to suit my own personal style. I always get GQ every month and I think that you can always get inspiration from the advertisements often showing new cuts/colours and trends.

What was the first item of clothing you ever bought for yourself?

I’m pretty sure it was a denim jacket in Zara, I thought it was the coolest thing. I was only around 13-years old at the time and my parents were always kind enough to give us pocket money to put towards something we wanted (as long as we behaved.

Any fashion teenage faux-pas you’d care to tell us about...?

I remember buying a pair of trousers that changed colour with the temperature - they were hideous but it was the 90’s and I thought they were so cool. Thankfully digital photography and social media weren’t around then.

What’s the most expensive thing you’ve ever bought, clothing-wise?

Probably a Tom Ford denim jacket that I love. I got it a few years ago and it’s pretty timeless. It works in all seasons and although it was expensive, I think it’s been a good investment.

Tell us about the oldest item in your wardrobe, or the thing you’ll never, ever throw out

I have a Fendi belt from the late 90’s that thankfully still fits me and it’s quite muted. I think it’s more of a sentimental thing for me because I remember of how many nights out I had, trips, dates wearing it. It has seen better days but I can’t get rid of it.

What are your fashion pet hates?

As much as I do love a label and I’ve been guilty of wearing a label that was large across my chest, I really don’t like the t-shirts that aren’t subtle in their branding.

Jeans or chinos?

Can I have both?

Who are your style heroes?

David Gandy the British model. He was the lead model for Dolce & Gabbaana who featured him in their advertising campaigns and fashion shows. He always looks so well put together and always wears classic pieces and looks very elegant.

What fragrance do you wear?

Hermès Agar Ébène

Do you groom, and how do you look after yourself?

Yeah, with flying a lot I need to look after my skin. I have a routine that I follow which uses a lot of products from The Ordinary Company which are extremely affordable and comparable to brands five times their price.

How many pairs of shoes do you have?

Probably around 30.

Trainers or shoes?

I do a lot of walking, especially when I’m in London. So unless I’m going somewhere that I need to be more formal, it’s trainers for me although they’re mostly all black and aren’t loud at all.

Do you accessorise and if so with what?

As I travel quite a lot my favourite accessorise are mostly weekend bags. I love a small black leather back pack that I have, it’s perfect for day trips.

Where do you shop?

I travel to Shanghai once a month with work, so to be honest I get a lot of my clothes made there. I have an amazing tailor who is incredibly affordable and has a huge catalogue of fabrics. Quite often I can get five shirts made to fit for the price of one from a shop. I love the cut of clothes in Reiss although I do find them quite expensive so I’ll normally only get something that I know will last for a few seasons.

What’s your desert island item of clothing?

Anything linen. I love how smart linen can look and how cool it keeps you. I’m often warm, even when it’s cool outside and I find that wearing natural breathable fibres like linen are heaven for me.
