A recent study has shown that time-poor millennials don’t have time to both eat healthily AND get ‘down and dirty’ with their partner midweek, forcing them to choose between a ‘cook up or a hook up’.
The survey from Simply Beef and Lamb found that more than three quarters (78 per cent) of 18-34 year olds in a relationship said they struggled to find the time to both make love to their partner and cook a healthy and nutritious meal in the evenings.
Almost half (48 per cent) admitting to skipping having sex altogether because they didn’t have time.
When asked what was most important to them when they came home from work, 50 per cent of couples said cooking a delicious, healthy and nutritious meal was their top priority, while only 34 per cent chose having sex with their partner.
However, there’s a simple solution to millennial’s lacklustre libidos and ‘too busy’ lifestyles – and it might surprise you.
Beef is putting the passion back into mundane midweeks thanks to how quick beef dishes are to cook, and its libido-increasing properties.
Thin cut steaks can be prepared in minutes, leaving busy people with enough time for both good food and good sex.
Nutritional insight researcher, Dr Emma Derbyshire said: “It’s no secret that some millennials are trading beef steaks for white meat and meat alternatives in a bid to eat what they assume is a healthier option.
“However, they’re not only missing out on important nutrients – a lack of zinc, found in beef, is a contributing factor towards decreased sex drive and subfertility.
“By reintroducing red meat into our diets, we can quite literally beef-up our sex lives. As well as raising the libido, beef is a good source of iron which is vital for arousal and reduces fatigue, and contains vitamin A which is important for the production of sex hormones such as testosterone, as well as vitamin B, which contributes to a healthy sex drive and sexual stamina.”
