Parts of Dublin Airport have had to be evacuated this morning following an alert.
It happened shortly before 9am.
The exact nature of the incident has not been confirmed, but it is understood a smoke alarm may have triggered the emergency response.
On its verified Twitter account, Dublin Airport said passengers had been allowed to return to Terminal 2.
The tweet said: “Normal operations have resumed in T2 @DublinAirport following a brief evacuation.”
Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport was briefly evacuated on Wednesday morning after a smoke alarm went off.
It has been reported that passengers were allowed back into the building a short time later.
Dublin Airport has confirmed that normal operations have since resumed.
