A pint-sized ninja schoolgirl from Co Armagh has won a place in the live semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent.

Jesse Jane McParland from Keady, known as JJ, wowed the celebrity judges and the viewing public with her high-octane martial arts routine and becomes Northern Ireland’s sole remaining representative in the ITV show.

The nine-year-old shocked Simon Cowell and co with her first audition routine, which included back flips, high-speed rotations and stunning samurai sword work.

On Saturday night, she impressed again on the stage of London’s Dominion Theatre.

Judge Amanda Holden was thrilled with the latest routine and gave her a resounding “yes”.

Holden joked with JJ, “I was too frightened to say ‘no’ to you,” as she told JJ she was more than happy to send her through.
