Joshua Kelly died following the incident on Scrabo Road at around 3.15pm.
The funeral began at his grandmother’s home in Portaferry at 12.30pm before proceeding to St Patrick’s Church, Ballyphilip, for a requiem mass.
He was buried in the adjoining graveyard.
