Two separate security alerts in Belfast and Co Londonderry yesterday were later described as hoaxes by police.
In south Belfast, the PSNI evacuated the Tesco store on the Newtownbreda dual carriageway as bomb disposal experts were called to examine a suspicious object. The alert ended shortly before 4pm.
A suspicious object found on the Ballynease Road in Bellaghy was also examined by army experts and found to be a hoax. The road opened around 3.30pm.
