Booklet to be sent to more than 1,000 clergy about their mental health

A new booklet aimed at improving the mental health of the clergy is being distributed throughout Northern Ireland.

It has been produced by a group called “Flourish!”, and has involved clergy from various church denominations and the Public Health Agency (PHA).

Fiona Teague from the PHA said in a statement: “Very often those who care for others, such as the clergy, don’t take time out to look after their own mental and emotional wellbeing, and this can lead to stress and ill-health.”
