Boy questioned over Craigavon schoolgirl death released on bail

Schoolgirl Caitlin White (Shortland) died in Craigavon Hospital after being found unconscious near Portadown's Corcrain estate on Saturday evening.

The exact cause of death is not yet known. However police have said a possible link to drugs is one line of inquiry into the Craigavon Senior High School pupil's death.

Two males arrested on Monday evening were questioned and subsequently released bail while the inquiry continues.

The spokesman said a number of searches have also been carried out and a quantity of suspected ecstasy tablets have been seized.

Detectives continue to appeal for information and to warn the community of the dangers of drugs. Police can be contacted on the non-emergency number 101.
