Northern Ireland based dried fruit and nut business Forest Feast has landed a lucrative contract with Asda to bring its recently launched Street Food snack range into 157 of its stores across Great Britain.

The Street Food range has been stocked in stores across the province since April this year and the retailer will now become the first major multiple to stock its Spanish, Thai, USA and Indian snack mixes in GB.

Forest Feast developed the range following a substantial investment into its Portadown based production facilities, processing and packaging technology last year.

Inspired by the sights and sounds of international cuisine, the dried fruit, nut and snack mixes tap into the growing consumer trend for street food.

“We are delighted that our continued partnership with Asda will now bring our Street Food range to the GB consumer,” said commercial director Tim McVicker.

“Having the range showcased in over 150 Asda stores in GB, as well as the full portfolio of stores in Northern Ireland, is a significant growth opportunity for our business and a huge vote of confidence from one of the UK’s major multiple retailers.”

Susanna Hassard, a regional buying manager with Asda added:“Asda is committed to supporting local producers and giving innovative, quality products from across the UK the recognition they deserve.

“Forest Feast Street Food has already proved popular with our Northern Ireland customer base and we are certain it will perform equally well across Great Britain.”
