Little Wing: 20 new jobs as popular NI pizzeria opens new branch

Homegrown pizzeria Little Wing has opened its eighth branch in Northern Ireland with an investment of 650K, creating a total of 20 jobs.

The restaurant, located on Conway Square in in Newtownards will officially open its doors to the public on Thursday (February 22) following a number of pre-opening fundraiser sessions in aid of a range of local charities and kid’s clubs.

The pizzeria will be open for both lunch and dinner daily and will cater for up to 50 guests.

Established in Belfast in October 2009, Little Wing prides itself in offering authentic, made to order Naples-style pizzas, cooked in its distinctive 6ft traditional wood-stone pizza ovens.

The Newtownards branch will employ up to 20 new members of staff, bringing the total number of people employed across all Little Wing outlets to 154.

Luke Wolsey, Managing Director, Little Wing Pizzeria said: “After months of planning, we’re proud to be opening our newest Little Wing Pizzeria in Newtownards and creating local jobs for people in the area. The property, a stunning Grade B listed building, in the town centre, situated in the middle of Conway Square, is a perfect location for our eighth restaurant.”

He added: ‘’We are determined to continue to roll out the Little Wing brand across Northern Ireland and further afield and to explore further opportunities to expand our portfolios of restaurants in the near future.”
