Leading animal nutrition company Devenish and generator business AJ Power have been awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in recognition of their exceptional growth and commercial success around the world.
The firms are among a group of high achieving businesses named across the UK and the only t wo to be singled out in the province this year.
Devenish Nutrition International was set up in 2012 in line with the Devenish Group’s international growth strategy, and since then has shown exceptional growth, trading now in more than 25 countries.
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is recognised as the UK’s highest accolade for business success, recognising outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the areas of innovation, international trade, and sustainable development.

Founded in 2003, Craigavon based AJ Power has achieved outstanding growth in overseas sales over the last three financial years with its diesel generating sets and associated equipmentused as a primary or standby source of power or as a standby to a utility.
Generating sets are operating in a wide variety of applications from villages in the Andes to construction and hospitals in New Zealand.
The firm seeks to increase its global reach each year and in the past financial year sold products to 67 countries across five continents.
