Law firm, Allen & Overy (A&O), has created a new scholarship that will improve access to justice in Northern Ireland through an innovative Ulster University programme.
Over the next three years, the firm will provide funding to support students enrolled in the Master of Laws (LLM) in Clinical Legal Education course at the internationally respected Ulster University Law Clinic. An amount will be shared between three students in the first year to cover the costs of fees and provide maintenance support for one person.
A&O is the first law firm to create a scholarship with the LLM Clinical Legal Education programme, which is designed to address the unmet access to justice needs in the region.
The LLM Clinical Legal Education course gives students an opportunity to develop specialist skills in social security and employment law by contributing to world-leading research and working on real life cases under the supervision of experienced Law School staff.
