Belfast Chamber of Trade and Commerce has urged businesses to take part in its annual awards to recognise the best in enterprise across the city.

“Following on from last year’s fantastically successful event, we are absolutely thrilled to launch the 2016 awards in recognition of many of the outstanding businesses that operate in our capital city,” said Hugh Black, President of Belfast Chamber of Trade and Commerce.

“Once again we will be to be seeking out the crème de la crème and celebrating our brilliant businesses, their staff and their customers.

“A huge amount of investment has gone into making this years awards even bigger and better than they were in previous years.”

The chamber has announced three new categories to add to the existing 15, including, Best Family Business, Best Creative Business and Employee of the Year.

“That makes 18 awards in total, which we have worked to develop to ensure they cover many areas of business, from retail, hospitality, digital marketing, sustainability, to growth and individual awards.

“And of course, the Awards wouldn’t be possible without our sponsors who I would like to personally thank for their support.

“Special thanks also goes to Bank of Ireland, UK, as our principal sponsor who have been behind us from the very start, and their commitment and support which they have shown has been invaluable.”

Mark O’Brien, commercial bank manager, Belfast city branch, Bank of Ireland UK said “Bank of Ireland is delighted to come on board once again as principle sponsor.

“The calibre of the entries is always excellent and the people represent the best in business from all sectors at all levels.
