The new head at Translink will be Chris Conway it has been announced.
The new group chief executive, currently MD of Tata Steel’s sales and distribution business in Ireland, was confirmed by Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company chairman John Trethowan,
“We are delighted with this appointment which follows a recruitment competition that attracted significant interest and a very high calibre field,” he said.
“In Chris Conway we are confident that we have found an experienced and skilled individual.
Mr Conway will take up the post on September 7, succeeding David Strahan who will continue in a handover period until September 18.
“I congratulate Chris Conway on his appointment,” said Transport Minister Danny Kennedy.
“I wish him every success in his work at Translink.”
