The twin villages of Pettigo in Donegal and Tullyhommon in Fermanagh have been “transformed” thanks to a £5.6m cash injection from Europe.

The ‘Termon Project’ involved the provision of much-needed community and recreational facilities.

A pedestrian footbridge has been constructed, which spans the River Termon, uniting both villages. A picnic area in a public riverside park on the Tullyhommon bank of the river has also been created.

Meanwhile, the Methodist hall in Tullyhommon has been refurbished and extended. Praising the EU PEACE III project, DUP MLA Arlene Foster said she was certain that the Termon Project will have a “lasting legacy”.
