Coronavirus NI: One additional COVID-19 related death in Northern Ireland - here's how many people have died by each council area

The Department of Health (DoH) recorded one additional COVID-19 related death in Northern Ireland in the 24 hour period up to 10.00am on June 4.

The total number of DoH COVID-19 related deaths now stands at 535.

A total of 33 additional patients were recorded as having tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours but this comes with a caveat.

Twenty-four of the 33 patients to test positive are from 182 laboratory tests carried out in Altnagelvin Area Hospital on April, 2, 3 and 4 - these tests had not been included until now.

Essentially, this means that nine people tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

There are currently seven people in hospitals right across Northern Ireland currently receiving treatment for COVID-19 in intensive care unit beds.

COVID-19 related deaths as per local government district:

Unknown:five.

Fermanagh and Omagh: 10.

Derry City and Strabane: 21.

Mid-Ulster: 30.

Newry and Mourne: 33.

Causeway, Coast and Glens: 38.

Ards and North Down: 39.

Mid and East Antrim: 41.

Lisburn and Castlereagh: 46.

Antrim and Newtownabbey: 55.

Armagh City Banbridge and Craigavon: 58.

Belfast City: 159.
