Arrest after stabbing in north Belfast hotel

A man in his 20s has been arrested after a stabbing in an hotel in Glengormley.

Police were called to the Chimney Corner Hotel around 3.20am today (March 29).

A PSNI spokesman said a man in his 30s was “treated by ambulance staff for stab wounds and a man in his 20s was subsequently detained by officers”.

“The injured man is currently in hospital being treated for what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries,” added the PSNI spokesman.

“I would appeal to anyone with any information about this incident to contact detectives at Newtownabbey on 101. Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
