Arrests after stabbing in south Belfast

Three men have been arrested after a 33-year-old man was stabbed in south Belfast this morning.

The men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after the stabbing at Dunluce Avenue around 6.40am.

A PSNI spokeswoman said the road has been closed to traffic and diversions are in place.

She said pedestrian access is being permitted to Dunluce Health Centre.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries and his condition is being described as serious but stable.

Detective Inspector Mary White is appealing to anyone who was in the area around 6.30 am this morning noticed any suspicious activity or witnessed the incident to contact detectives at Musgrave on the non emergency number 101 or alternatively contact crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
