A bank employee on Friday admitted stealing just over £8,000 from two customers’ accounts.
Defence solicitor Richard Monteith told Craigavon Magistrates Court 52-year-old Heather Dickson, who remained seated in the public gallery, was pleading guilty to all four offences of committing fraud by abusing the position she held at Barclays Bank PLC.
Three of those offences relate to Dickson withdrawing £5,656 from one account while the fourth recounts how she withdrew £2,663 from another, amounting to £8,319, committed over a 14-month period on dates between December 19, 2012 and March 28 last year.
Mr Monteith told Deputy District Judge Boyd although Dickson, from Quality Hill, Laurelgrove in Tandragee, had a clear criminal record.
Judge Boyd agreed she wanted probation reports and after she adjourned passing sentence until February 13, releasing Dickson in the meantime.
