Police are investigating a possible link between the burglary of three pensioners in their 80s in the Belfast area on the same night.
The criminals targeted homes in Carryduff, Castlereagh and north Belfast on Monday evening.
Three men, one armed with a screwdriver, entered the home of an 83-year-old woman in the Queensfort Park South area of Carryduff around 7.30pm.
They took a sum of money, leaving the woman shaken but not injured.
Around 15 minutes later, a number of men, again armed with a screwdriver, entered the home of a lady in her 80s in the Lower Braniel Road area of Castlereagh. It is not known if they took anything but she too was left badly shaken.
A similar gang also targeted an 80-year-old man in the Graymount Park area of north Belfast on the same night at about 9pm.
A number of men entered his home around 9pm, taking his keys and wallet, which contained money and bank cards. It is believed that the men ran off in the direction of Gray’s Lane.
The PSNI have asked anyone with information to contact CID at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
