Car driven on wrong side of road and wrong way around roundabout in broad daylight - fails to stop for PSNI

The PSNI has suggested it was down to luck that no one was killed in incident involving a Renault Megane yesterday afternoon.

The silver/light coloured vehicle was involved in a series of incidents in the Temple, Lisburn and Dunmurry areas.

The motorist behind the wheel of the Megane failed to stop for police, drove against the flow of traffic and the wrong way around the Saintfield Road roundabout at around 2.20pm before it was discovered in the Redwoods area, Dunmurry, at approximately 3.00pm

"How nobody was seriously injured or worse we do not know," said the PSNI.

"We believe this vehicle may have been on the move from about 0945 hours coming from the Carrickfergus area and also may have been sighted in Hillsborough around 1330 hours.

"If anyone seen this car, has dash cam footage of it or any information that may be useful to Police please contact us on 101 and quote reference 1009, 16/06/2020," the PSNI added.
